Velvet
One of Sukhumvit’s less well known yet more visionary clubs; Velvet ticks every box as far as theme and presentation goes, holding a fashion themed statement. Pulling up outside the entrance, you will instantly notice the individuality it holds. The sculpted stone white walls combine excellently with the black gothic styled gate, making the club really stand out to passers-by. On the ground, white neon strips lead the way to the interior, while a set of steps climb up to the outside terrace area, where people can hang out and relax.
Packed with raving clubbers and young hipsters, the interior is a feast for action. On a higher level overlooking the main floor, are two separate balconies where dancers in skimpy clothing grind their bodies to the beat.
More of the same white neon strips travel across the main floor, accompanied with alien like clear white tables dotted across the room, giving the club a chilled, futuristic image. Tall, dominant purple curtains surround the backdrop, which blend in perfectly with the soft purple and blue lighting, creating a dazzling contrast between the warm yet eerie lighting and sharp, shimmering whites.
